It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air.
Big photography feature about Christmas, full of wonderful works and wise christmas quotations.

Nestled away in the woods just outside of the picturesque riverside village of Cardross, is St. Peters Seminary, one of the world's first (and many say finest) examples of Modernist and Brutalist architecture.
Built in 1966, immediately out-of-date, and near-uninhabitable due to poor heating and insulation. It operated as a seminary until 1980, and then as a drug rehabilitation centre until the end of the '80s. It has since sat in a ruined state, eaten away by the elements and the local youths, and coated in graffiti. Potential new uses for the building have come to nothing due to it's layout and isolated location, and so it looks set to become one of the first true ruins of the 20th century. View of the concrete altar, more pictures to be had of the somewhat surreal experience in this building at my friend's Flickr page: [link] |
